Photojournalists love to shoot with their sexy fast prime lenses, wide open at f/1.2 or f/1.4. What, you think I’m going to spend that kind of cash and then just go all “f/8 and be there?” Fuck no. My lens says f/1.2 on the barrel and that’s where it stays. Locked down, baby.
All the best…
and it drives my husband crazy!
It’s amazing the amount of judgement there is in the world. Even those who say they don’t judge, do. It’s hard sometimes to know that people are judging every little ounce of what I do, but I must not let it overwhelm me. I must not let it get in the way of what I love, what I’m passionate about, what I know I’m meant to do.
Jasmine Star said this in an interview I recently watched: ”Just because I’m not doing it the right way does not mean I’m doing it wrong.” So, just because I’m not doing it your way, doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I must remember that.
Thank you Jasmine Star, for giving me inspiration and always believing in the not-doing-it-right-ers. :)

Christmas Day snow 2010.
I planned on taking a photo a day for this entire year. However, I got sick and missed a day, which has now turned into four days.
Who knows if I will pick the photo a day back up.
I just know that whenever I’m inspired I snap a photo. Like these images I snapped on Christmas Day. It was a wonderful snow covered Christmas for my first Christmas as a ‘wife’. :)
Now that I’m feeling 100% again, I plan to post more often.
Stay happy!
Bethany
